According to Sir Isaac Newton, time remains the same everywhere and for all people. That means if 3 hours have passed for me, then only 3 hours have passed for everyone in this universe. But after the publication of Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, this assumption was proved to be completely wrong.
Albert Einstein believed that time is not the same for all places and people. Instead time passes at different speeds in different situations. Actually the passage of time or the speed of time depends on the gravitational field and the velocity of that object. As the gravitational field and the object's velocity increase, time begins to pass slowly.
If both space and time are mixed together, they are divided into four dimensions to form space-time. Space and time do not exist without each other.
As an example, if you ask your friend to meet you, you have to tell him both the time and the place. If you tell your friend one of these things, it will be difficult for your friend to find you. So this means that space-time is interconnected.
A lot of research is being done on this today because scientists believe that if they get time dilation right, they might be able to stop humans from aging and make time travel possible.
